Aspen itself is small enough to get around easily on foot and there are free shuttle buses within the city limits and between all four resorts during the winter. During the summer, car hire is available and is an excellent way to explore the surrounding area.

Aspen County Airport (ASE) is located a short drive from the city and receives flights operated by several domestic airlines, with more frequent services offered during the winter months. Another option for flying into the area is to fly to Eagle County Airport, 70 miles north of Aspen. From there taxis, buses and car rentals are available to connect you Aspen. The nearest international travel hub is Denver International Airport which receives large numbers of flights from all over the world. From here you can catch a connecting flight to one of the smaller airports in the area or take the Colorado Mountain Express and enjoy the scenery along the way.
